DAKAR - SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER
Job Description : Purpose: Manage major opportunities (above $5M up to 50-100M$) business stream across Emerging Africa (Sub-Sahara excluding RSA). Focus on Public Sector and Service Providers / Operators market segment. Responsabilities: • Identify relevant partners for business development • Build and develop pipeline • Qualify and Prioritize opportunities • Create a strategic lobbying and account development plan • Resource pre-sales virtual team within the existing Competency Center organizations in the Group at large • Visit major government offices, international funding agencies and corporate customers on a regular and planned basis building relationships, marketing capabilities, and identifying / creating / closing sales opportunities. • Lobby either personally or through established partners at governmental level (cabinet office, up to PM and President) and CxO levels on behalf of the Company. Pave way for opportunity creation, development and closure. Identify key stakeholders, allies and threats. • Provide feedback on identified customer. • Contribute to increase awareness of company within the defined territory. • Act when required as local spokesperson towards press & industry through participating in speaking platforms and customer seminars respecting corporate communication policies • Liaise with regional Field Marketing on the achievements against Business Plan.
Skills and Experience: Industry Knowledge: • Displays seasoned, strategic and hands-on knowledge of the telecom and system integration industry. • A multifunctional several years management experience in the ICT services, Consulting and Integration Services business. • Demonstrates a credible experience driving major and strategic sales effort in the ICT arena. • Hands on experience and in depth understanding of how to develop, market, sell and maintain a portfolio of ICT products to governments and large accounts. Strategic Thinking: • Capable of understanding the business strategic context and developing structures and processes to support the specific goals and objectives necessary to achieve success. • Has a clear vision or picture of what the organization needs to become in the future. • Effectively leads the development of a strategy for achieving key goals and an organizational vision-how to get there from here. Results Orientation: • Proven track-record to achieve business development across African continent • Ability to push self / others to meet challenging deadlines; consistently demonstrates sense of urgency towards achievement of results. Team Leadership: • Multiple years experience of managing sales and delivery virtual teams across countries and cultural boundaries Education Requirements: • Individual should have a Bachelor’s degree.
